The machined steel head and cap allows for accurate alignment between the piston, tube, piston rod and rod bearing. A heavy-wall steel cylinder barrel allows minimum friction and durable seal and piston bearings. Bronze rod cartridge gland is high-strength and provides excellent bearing support and durability. Durable one piece cast iron piston protects against shock loads. Case hardened, chrome-plated piston rod provides minimum yield stength from 100,000 PSI to 75,000 PSI. Stainless steel piston rods are also available. Pre-stressed for fatigue resistance, and roll threaded for additional strength, Yates tie rods offer a minimum yield strenth of 100,000 to 125,000 PSI. Head cushion sleeve and rear cushion spear promote gradual deceleration and reduced shock at the end of the cylinder stroke. Cushion adjustment permits safe and precise adjustment of cushion while under pressure. Teflon tube end seals compatible with virtually all hydraulic fluid can operate in temperatures up to 500°F. Yates standard SAE ports can be rotated to any 90 degree position in relation to each other and the mounting. NPTF ports are available at no extra charge. Yates standard rod seals are urethane. Viton seals are also available. Nitrile U-cup piston seals with back-up rings are standard. Step cut cast iron rings and Viton® seals are also available. Nitrile double-lip rod wiper provides a secondary seal, keeping out contaminants. If fluid compatibility or high temperatures (to 400°F) are issues, Viton wipers are available. Metallic scrapers and low friction wipers are also available. |
Yates Double Rod H6 Hydraulic CylindersCylinders are available in double rod configurations and can be ordered by simply adding "D" after the mounting code. 13 of their 22 mounting styles are available in double rod cylinders, including A, B, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, T, U, AND X.
